Warp The Fight is a fast-paced multiplayer shooter, where each arena has a physically impossible layout.

Hexagons with six right angles, multiple halls occupying the same space or stairs going down leading you to the area above.

Fight your friends in a chaotic, mind-bending battle.

Use the warped environment to your advantage.

Features:

  • Up to 4 players in a match
  • Private and public multiplayer lobbies
  • 10 different arenas with spatially impossible layouts
  • 3 game modes:
    • Last man standing - kill all other players to win a round
    • Deathmatch - score 5 kills to win a round
    • King of the hill - capture the crown and hold it for 30 seconds to win a round
  • 5 unique weapons each with a secondary firing mode:
    • Revolver - alt mode fires a burst of rays that can be reflected off of surfaces to deal bonus damage
    • Shotgun - alt mode fires a grenade that explodes shortly after contact with the ground or instantly when colliding with a player. The grenade can also be shot out of the air with the revolver to increase the explosion radius and damage
    • Rocket launcher - alt mode fires a powerful ray that has to be charged up before firing
    • Plasma rifle - base mode rapidly fires projectiles that create small explosions on impact. Alt mode fires a big, slow energy orb that creates a giant explosion on impact

  • 4 types of power-ups
    • Speed up - increases player's movement speed
    • Double damage - it's in the name
    • Faster dashing - increases dash speed, range and recharge speed

  • An offline practice mode with bots
  • An interactive tutorial

Multiplayer instructions:

After Update 2.0:

  • Playing with friends - have one of the players (preferably the one with the best internet connection) create a private lobby. Then the host can copy the lobby's ID and send it to the rest of the players so they can find the lobby. When playing on a LAN all players should enable 'allow direct connections' in the settings to minimize latency.
  • Playing with strangers - host a public lobby or join one through the lobby search menu.

Before Update 2.0:

  • LAN - if your computers are in the same LAN, have one of the players host a game. Then the rest of the players can join using the host's local IP address.
  • Port forwarding - this is a bit more advanced, but lets you play with people outside of your local network. The host needs to open a port in their router's settings. Although the exact procedure may vary between router models, these steps should be the same for most of them:
    • Open your router's settings by inserting its IP address into the address bar in your browser.
    • Log in to access the configuration panel.
    • Find the port forwarding settings (sometimes called the virtual server).
    • Open the port 2137 using the UDP protocol.
  • After the port has been opened, the rest of the players can join using the host's public IP address.

(NOTE: never give your IP address to somebody you don't know)

bro is megakill :skull:

Hey MrKtosiek, not sure if this is still active but I sent you a message on Discord (If you use the same name on Discord) and reddit. Please get back to me when you can. Thanks.

Me and My girlfriend were trying to play but couldn't get into eachothers lobby. We tried restarting multiple times, making the lobby private and public. Nothing would work and we don't know why. We did everything in the settings right, if anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

the same thing happened to me. im pretty sure one of you guys has version 3.1 and the other has version 1.0 the easiest way is for you both to be on version 3.1

we both have the same version for sure, we havent figured out why it isnt working

one way you can check is by uninstalling and reinstalling the game. recently the game went through a few updates and this also helped me out. unless you already tried that lmao

I recently tried to play the game with a friend and it also wasn't working. Then we tried with a fresh build and it seems to have fixed the issue, even though I don't think I changed anything that should affect networking. I just uploaded that new build so that you can try it too.

I hope it helps them out. Also I'm loving the game bro, I'm so shit at fps though lol

(+1)

This game looks alot like this one other game, hmmmmmm

(+1)

MMMMHHHHH ... idk... Camara head robots

(1 edit) (+1)

This game is so cool! Please make more arenas and gamemodes.

Edit: The auto rifle is kinda op and the rocket launcher is the opposite, needs more power. Just my opinion.

Ton of fun, it's a really great party game!
Would love to see a Capture the Flag mode added in the sequel, although I realize that'd require some different map design! Would be really interesting to be able to use the wrapping to flank for the flag.

Also gotta say, I love the level design, there's a really good variety here and it really showcases the feature in a lot of fun ways!

same

I'd like a railgun, cause it kinda annoys me to charge up the rocket launcher before firing. but its a solid game!

no linux version :(

Where is the Information saved. If I delete the game and download it again it still has the information from the previous game. I tried searching  but I couldnt find where its saved.

It's in the registry under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MrKtosiek\Warp The Fight

To open the registry editor, open the console, type "regedit" and press enter.

Don't touch anything above the "MrKtosiek" folder, those are folders used by other programs

Thanks for the speedy response! I hope you succeed with your remake/sequel.

Great game. The guns are all amazing and are really fun to use. I'd love to see this game polished and brought to steam. I would buy it. I do have a few changes/suggestions for future updates if you're interested.

(+2)

I'm glad you liked it! I'm currently working on a remake/sequel and am planning to release it on steam.

Are there any plans for an official discord server? It would make it much easier to find games and talk about the game with others.

I hadn't really thought about making one yet but yeah, that is a good idea

THE GAME IS 32 BIT

(1 edit)

nice game. it would be better if the default dash key was shift though. And please build for macos and linux.

Thanks! I chose ctrl because I'm personally more used to it being the 'go faster' button rather than shift.

As for the macos and linux builds, I don't think I will add them, firstly because I stopped working on this game a while ago and I'm currently working on another project, and also because I wouldn't be able to test them

Hey there! I'd love to chat with you about how multiplayer works in Warp the Fight. Mind telling me where we can have that conversation?

Any info on the rewrite?

Anything new planned? I love the game but sinze its just multiplayer and there arent many players its boring to play after a while

(+3)

I recently started rewriting the game from scratch, since there are a lot of things I want to improve. When I'm finished with that I'd want to release it on steam, but currently I can't really say how long that will take or even if I'm actually going to finish it.

i wish there where more players so badly

(1 edit) (+1)

awesome game but too little players.

if you put the game on steam it will hopefully get more player

(+1)

Hey man, this game is really awesome, I wish there were more people to play with online!

Will this game get more developed?

Yeah, I'm still working on some new content, but recently I took a break from it to participate in the Brackeys Game Jam

love the new multiplayer, i hope this gets more developed!

hello, i need some help with setting up the multiplayer, can you help me?

Sure, what is the problem? I assume you want to set it up for playing over WAN, right?

LAN, yes, i look at my ips and i dont know which one is the right one

(1 edit)

For LAN you need the local IPv4 address (usually something starting with 192.168....)

Thanks for the game!

caught a small bug on 3:46
(1 edit) (+1)

love it,the server chould be improved tho, i hope there will be a singleplayer mode too

Thanks!

I know that the current networking system is a bit inconvenient, but I couldn't find any good free alternatives to port forwarding for Mirror Networking

(1 edit) (+1)

I get it, i still Hope there Will be some single player mode or something

(+1)

Fun, easy to learn, and simple, pretty nice game.

Suggestions:

1. make the bots fight with each other instead of all of them targeting the player

2. make it so that we can control the bot difficulty

3. a new game mode where you have high hp and you fight with waves of bots that are low hp

(+1)

Thanks for the feedback!

I agree that the practice mode is currently a bit too hard, so adding a difficulty setting is already on my 'todo' list. However, I believe that adding bot infighting would make it really easy to cheese the practice mode by hiding and letting the bots kill each other, so I don't think I will add it.

Good idea with the PvE game mode, but I want to focus on PvP modes first.

Please make your game able to be installed via the Itch.io client, you need to add a manifest.

I just checked and for me it installs and plays without a problem when using the itch.io app.

Awesome, maybe it was just a bug. Thank you, installing it now.

Cool

Thanks!
